1/4" La Petite Maison, Provence 2 with Sue
Herber This small home on a cobbled street has two floors, each with its own fireplace. The first floor is tiled in a herringbone brick pattern and decorated with a floral bouquet tile painting on the wall. The second floor has a wooden floor and French door opening onto a small balcony, perfect to show off a future potted garden. The roof and even the chimney are topped with variegated tiles. Emphasis will be on learning to do the aged plaster over stone techniques, making antique looking windows, and making simple floral window boxes. This is the companion plea to an earlier Provence house. Students will need tacky and zap glues, X-acto knife and extra fresh blades, pencil, ruler, scissors, sand paper or emery board, small and medium paint brushes, modge podge, box to take project home (house is 2-3/4" D x 3" W x 5-1/2" H). |
