Workshop 44

Advanced Pottery
with Craig Roberts

$785

Monday November 7 - Thursday November 10, 9:00AM-4:30PM

This class will show the "Intermediate" student how to make more complex pieces such as teapots and canisters. We will work on design, sizing, and attachment, as well as marbled/mixed clay pieces. There will be demos every day, as well as lots of practice time (including the evening). The class will delve into a number of technical areas, which will all be reinforced with an advanced study handout. Possible pieces in this class include a cookie jar with a face, wall masks, and a 3-D grape/vine jars and jugs. Problem solving will also be addressed; especially the ½" scale hurdles. This class is designed to give the budding pottery student answers to their quandaries and an avenue to explore; whether it be the wheel, sculpting or glazing. Your imagination can be your "limit" after this class, plus you will have fun; which you already know!

Student Supplies and Tools Needed: Work light, QUESTIONS, an apron, hand towel, magnifiers, brushes and your favorite tools.
