Basic Mold Making and Casting

Resin casting can be useful in miniatures for making multiple identical items, or for duplicating complicated originals. Learn this process first hand. In class you will learn how to pour cast pieces using two part resin in furnished molds and then experience making a one part mold using two part silicone rubber. All materials will be supplied and a source list will be given to all students. Students will leave with several cast pieces, a rubber mold they have created, and the skills to repeat the process at home.

Student Supplies and Tools Needed: All materials will be supplied by the instructor.
