Workshop 33

1" Scale Medieval Loom
with Susan Karatjas

$55

Friday November 4, 9:00AM-12:30PM

Workshop participants will construct a 1" scale loom similar to one that could have been used in Medieval time, and would be suitable for Gothic or Tudor houses, where they were quite common. Spun sheep's wool or linen from flax would have been used. The loom is made from all wood, and most parts have been laser cut. You will stain and assemble the loom, and insert a fabric piece onto the loom bed. This will make it look like you have actually woven it. This medieval loom measures about 6" tall. All skill levels welcome.

Student Supplies and Tools Needed: Gluing jig. All other materials provided.
