Basic Candy Making - Gingerbread House

Students will learn some basic miniature candy making
techniques to create decorative candies from FIMO clay, including
candy canes, mints, swirls, and a tree shape. In the afternoon,
students will use these candies and other pre-made candies to
assemble and decorate a miniature gingerbread cottage. Techniques
for applying miniature piping will be taught including how to
make a miniature piping bag. Students will leave with extra candies
suitable for other miniature projects. Gingerbread house is approx.

Student Supplies and Tools Needed: 6x6" smooth white
ceramic tile, x-acto knife with a #11 blade, ¼" small
soft paintbrush round or flat, fine tip tweezers, and a pencil.
Optional items include: polymer clay roller, handi wipes or a
damp washcloth.
