George III Chippendale Silver Table with
Geoff Wonacott A typical example of tables of this type known as silver tables which were used for displaying silver and serving tea in the 18th century. You will construct the table from a prepared cutting list of timber, cutting the pierced gallery and brackets with a fret/piercing saw. The legs will be reeded and a bead mitered around the rail. A finish will be applied and completion is likely for someone with a reasonable ability. All tools and supplies will be provided. Students may bring their own tools if they wish. |
