Porcelain Mannequin in Silk and Lace Corset

Dress a porcelain mannequin in a silk corset with lace insets. Students will learn to work with silk fabric and the laces, silk ribbons and rhinestones used to trim the corset. Students will have a choice of white or cream silk and may pick from several silk ribbon colors for trim. For those that wish, a lesson in making silk roses will also be available. Mannequin and all materials will be provided. The mannequin mold and corset pattern are by Cynthia Howe.

Student Supplies and Tools Needed: Small sharp scissors, pointed tweezers, tacky glue (pointed toothpicks to apply glue or glue bottle with small nozzle - students preference), light if desired.
