Just in time for Christmas, come spend the day constructing this Gingerbread Themed Sideboard complete with all the accessories pictured! Students should be able to complete the Sideboard and spend the remainder of the time building the provided kits and arranging all the accessories. All parts are precut from Basswood and easy to assemble. Each Sideboard is 7 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide, and 2.25 inches deep. Besides the counter, there is an upper shelf held up with two fancy corbel brackets, a lower slated shelf, and two decorative drawers. The back and drawers are covered in Gingerbread wallpaper. Learn how to antique wash the Sideboard and ink the edges of the wallpaper to give it that shabby chic look. The accessories include items that are already made: antique doily table runner, wreath, two counted cross stitch pillows, Christmas gift, tray, cookies in a tin, and a giant Gingerbread cookie in a box. Additionally, there are kits to make a mini Christmas tree in a dome, signs with graphics, and antique Frence watering cans.
Student Supplies & Tools Needed: Students must bring Aleene's fast grab tacky glue, gluing jig, 2 oz bottle of white paint.
Optional but recommended items include, cutting mat or flat surface, 6 and 12 inch rulers, pencil, small scissors, xacto knife, tweezers, medium and small paint brushes, emory board and small piece of sandpaper.
