Workshop 2

Decorate a Pottery Collection-U-Finish 40 Pieces!
with Craig Roberts

$680

Tuesday November 1 - Wednesday November 2, 9:00AM-4:30PM

Each student receives 40 pieces custom made by Craig; bisque-fired and ready to decorate. Decorating areas covered will include: planning a design, traditional cobalt blue folk art motifs, underglaze and oxide painting/staining/sponging, scenic nature styles, and Native American Indian designs. We will also learn a variety of glazing techniques from basic quick dip to wax resist/layering. Your pieces will include both wheel thrown pots and hand built/sculpted forms. Bowls, jugs, vases, plates, napkin holders, wall plaques and face masks will be included in the assortment. After each class day, Craig will fire your pieces to 2,250 degrees, so you will receive some finished masterpieces at the start of day #2 (which helps you with the second day's pieces). This class will give you a wonderful and valuable collection of high-fired ceramic pieces as well as a practical understanding of many areas involved in their "finishing".

Please specify your choice of 1", ½" or some of each scale when you call.

Student Supplies and Tools Needed: Basic miniaturists tool box-your favorite small brushes, a light and magnifiers are the most useful things.
