Mold Making Simplified with Judith Oak
Andraka Learn to make rubber molds for your creations- including flat pieces, 3-dimensional pieces, doorways, trim or anything else you would like to make in quantity. The workshop will include hands-on making of a one-part mold, a two-part mold, and also casting resin into the mold to create the piece. Discussion and Demonstration will include building various matrices for making molds and the types of molds to make what you wish to craft. Students may bring their own small piece to use to create a mold. Finished molds will vary with individual students. Not for those with allergies to latex. Students will need a general tool kit ( X-acto knife, small tweezers and small scissors), thin rubber gloves, a small object to mold. (I will have some objects available if you have nothing specific in mind). If a student wishes to make trim molding- such as doors, windows, etc; please contact the instructor prior to the class. The instructor will provide all mold and casting materials and supplies to make the mold. |
